In recent months there’s been a glitch exposed in the xbox360 world that lets you upgrade all your stats to 99. Needless to say, this makes the game incredibly unrealistic and lame. After a month or so you’ll notice all clubs have players who are moving up the ranks, playing like golden gods and making incredibly outlandish beautiful plays.

I found the glitch method over here and of course curious flawed human that I am had to try it out and yes, it does indeed work. Dummy that I am, took me a while to figure out how to remove it and get my shit back to regular. Once removed and you play online afterward,  you can easily tell who’s using it and who’s not or at least who’s tactical about using it… Tactical being, not put EVERY stats to 99. Either way the game has been ruined for me knowing this and with no word or patch in sight the future of club games is shit.

Every club now has boosted players and if you’re trying to play with an honest team, you practically have no chance. You can’t catch, check, poke or stick lift these players, you need a human goalie or the cross crease dive glitch and top circle two dangled wrister becomes annoyingly painful. I can’t see how EA can fix this either as it’s a hard coded thing but who knows.

All is not lost though, there’s a dim light at the end of this tunnel for us NHL freaks. Unfortunately it involves another console and a new game being the PS3. I don’t mind starting my playing from scratch and loosing my 600+ game progress from the 360. I do mind having to purchase a new game though since it’s EA’s fault, perhaps a sales strategy? Why fix it when they know people like me will jump to the ps3 version? Come to think of it, perhaps I should delete this post…  Fuckers.

I’d love to say, fuck you EA, I ain’t buying your games no more, but a monopoly’s a monopoly, what can little old gamer Mcgee do? Guess I can just say fuck you EA.
