Something that’s always bugged me about the dashboard for XBOX360 is it’s complete lack of pretty so when I heard it was getting an overall, I got excited. So the good folk at gametrailers posted a nice video with the proposed updates… I should have known better.

First off, dear Microsoft, please stop cutting cost on designers. Look at Apple and Playstation, pretty, slick, awesome.
Second, hire innovative, creative talent, don’t steal from others.

Not only did they steal the concept, I think they stole the models, amazing. At the very least, you could have slicked up the models a bit. Wait a minute, scratch that. Who the hell cares about avatars? They’re a terrible concept, no one gives a crap really.

Netflix

When I turn on my gaming console, I want to play games not watch movies. Streaming movies over the internet just doesn’t seem logical at this point in time and is not currently remotely close to my bluray experience, let’s not try to cram too much shit in here fellas.

I must admit, this is a step up then the bloated vertical tabbed separators that existed, even though it’s stolen from da playstashion.

Ok, so now that’s I’m done complaining about MS’s lack of innovation I must admin, this will hopefully be a step up from the current bloated dash. I really hope it performs better in game as it’s currently slow as all hell. Releasing late this year, booyhea.
