Comments on: Printing from Mac Leopard to a shared Vista Printer

HELP Please! Related problem: can print over wired network but not wireless. Running snow leopard, and plugged into a Windows network I can print to a networked XP machine with a USB printer hanging off it. But when I use the wireless network if fails with the infamous message NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME. Have tried everything I can think of. FYI have followed every tip at

hi ! i keep getting the”NT_Status_Bad_Network_name” error, i have made sure my shared printer name is all in lower case and no space and i kept it very simple! still no luck ! help?

After this great manual I got errorcode 311. I had to RE-INSTALL (!!) the printerdriver of my Canon Pixma 5200
After weeks (!) of searching for an answer to the problem my printer is finally solved!

It really works!

I’ve been trying for a year to print from my Apple Macbook w/ Snow Leopard to my old Win XP PC connected to an Epson NX400. Installed the latest Gutenprint drivers on my Mac then followed your procedure selecting the Getenprint driver for my printer. This is the ONLY method that has worked! BIG THANKS!

This sounds so promising and I’m so glad U posted this guide. But I think I maybe doing something wrong cause my printer shows up but the status says: Idle or In Use and when I try to print to it anyway, I get a message saying printing but nothing’s happening.
Can you please try to guide me from here? The printer is a Canon MP210 model.

lol im not getting it still!
which drivers are to be used. i have the HP photosmartC4680 printer and im not getting anywhere!!

(sry used hte wrong name before) its the whole “double click box thingy” hehe

so yeah which printer??
